Power projects
OPG states that it has three operational power stations, one coal-fired, one gas-fired and the third a waste heat recovery plant.
The existing coal-fired power station is the 77 megawatt Gummidipoondi OPG power station, which is currently being doubled with the new unit scheduled to be commissioned in 2012. OPG states that a further 160MW, comprising two 80MW units, will be built subsequently. The power station is owned by OPG Power Ventures subsidiary, OPG Power Generation.[3]
The company also states that a 300MW plant at Kutch in Gujarat, comprising two 150MW units, will be commissioned in 2013.[3]
