Bander power station is a coal-fired power station currently being developed in Andhra Pradesh. It is also known as Pynampuram Thermal Power Project.

Background
Bander power station is a coal-fired power station in Andhra Pradesh being developed in two phases by Thermal Powertech Corporation. Phase-I is 660 megawatts (MW), and Phase-II is also 660 MW. Although the Central Electricity Authority lists the plant for 2014 completion, it is not clear that the project has actually begun construction.[1]
