Mindfulness is the focusing of attention and awareness, based on the concept of mindfulness in Buddhist meditation, but is defined in many ways. It has been popularised in the West by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Mindfulness and other Buddhist meditation techniques receive support in the West from figures such the teacher Jack Kornfield, the teacher Joseph Goldstein, the psychologist Tara Brach, the writer Alan Clements, and the teacher Sharon Salzberg.wiki
