Location
The map below shows the construction site as identified in Wikimapia.[1] This is about 30 km north of the location described in the 2009 Environmental Clearance.[2]
Background
The project was originally permitted as a 600 MW (2 x 300 MW) power station, according to the first Environmental Clearance issued October 28, 2009. [2] In December 2010 a new Environmental Clearance was issued for a 1200 MW (2 x 600 MW) project.[3] The projects is under construction.
