Fujian, China’s southeastern coastal province has emerged as a major transferring center to import Jiangxi and other inland provinces. From January to October in 2011, Fujian has imported 11.58 million tones of coal 13.2% of which or 1.53 million tonnes was transferred from Quanzhou and Fuzhou ports to power plants at Jiangxi province. The region is 123,100 square km (47,500 square miles.) History

Fujian, China’s southeastern coastal province has emerged as a major transferring center to import Jiangxi and other inland provinces. From January to October in 2011, Fujian has imported 11.58 million tones of coal 13.2% of which or 1.53 million tonnes was transferred from Quanzhou and Fuzhou ports to power plants at Jiangxi province. The region is 123,100 square km (47,500 square miles.) It has a population of 36,894,216 as of 2010 census. [1]
