The power station which has been proposed by Welspun Energy to be built at Salav, in Raigad district, Maharashtra.[1][2]
In a subsequent report from 2012, the 330 MW captive plant was described as gas-based and the entire steel factory expansion plan was described as being on hold due to shortage of raw materials and energy.[3]
