The coal source would be based on a 70:30 ratio of domestic and imported coal dependent on supply from Coal India; if supply is not available, all coal would be imported. Water for the project would be sourced from the sea and a desalination plant.[1]
In 2013, it was reported that the company had put a hold on the project due to non-availability of funds from the government. As of October 2016, three years have passed since the hold was placed on the project and it appears to be abandoned.[2]
