The project is sponsored by Jinbhuvish Power Generations. 750 acres of land has been acquired for the project, and the Water Resource Department of Maharashtra has allocated water. The company is awaiting its environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF). The project has received commitments of coal from Western Coalfields Ltd (WCL). Financial closure has been completed.[1]
