Background
Jharupudi power station is a 140 megawatt (2 x 70 MW) coal plant reportedly proposed by Suryachakra Thermal Energy in Andhra Pradesh.[1] It received a terms of reference from the India government in 2009.[2]
However, this plant is not mentioned on the website for Suryachakra Group.[3] The company has not applied for an environmental permit, and the project may have been abandoned.
