Professor Lawrence Freedman "is one of the world's most renowned experts on strategic affairs and contemporary security issues. He has written extensively on warfare, strategic and defence issues, including Superterrorism (2002) and Terrorism and International Order (1986). Before joining King's, Professor Freedman held research appointments at Oxford University, the International Institute for Strategic Studies and the Royal Institute of International Affairs. He was elected a Fellow of the British Academy in 1995." [1]
