{{#Badges: CoalSwarm}}Gibson Mine is an underground mining complex located near the city of Princeton in Gibson County, Indiana. The mine is operated by Gibson County Coal, a subsidiary of Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. (ARLP). The mine began production in November 2000. The preparation plant has a throughput capacity of 700 tons of raw coal an hour.[1]

ARLP refers to the reserves mined at this location as "Gibson North." ARLP also controls unmined reserves in Gibson County, known as "Gibson South," with estimates of 82.7 million tons in the initial reserve field. Plans to develop Gibson South reserves remain open ended and market dependent.[1]
