Ralph Bunche

Ralph J. Bunche "is perhaps most well-known for his work in International Human Rights. His passion for equality, justice and human dignity sustained a long career with the United Nations, a career which included a pivotal role in the negotiations of the Palestine Peace Accord: four armistice agreements that ended the first Arab-Israeli war in 1949. Following this success, in 1950 he became the first person of color to be awarded the Noble Peace Prize.

His son is Ralph Bunche, Jr..
