Background

Meenakshi Energy Thermal Power Project is a multi-phase coal project being implemented by Meenakshi Energy in Andhra Pradesh. The first 540 megawatt (MW) unit was completed in December 2010.[1]

According to the company web site, "The first phase of the Project (300 MW) has been configured in a unique 'part tolling-part merchant' configuration with PTC India Limited."[2]
