Some background on Irwin Stelzer

In the words of the Observer, Stelzer is Rupert Murdoch's "right hand man" and a close confidante of Tony Blair. Dr Irwin Stelzer is a senior fellow and director of the Washington D.C.-based Hudson Institute's Center for Economic Policy. He also is the U.S. economic and political columnist for The Sunday Times (London) and The Courier Mail (Australia), a contributing editor of The Weekly Standard. Most recently he has edited the book Neoconservatism, with contributions from Tony Blair, Bill Kristol, Robert Kagan, Condoleezza Rice and Michael Gove. Prior to joining the Hudson Institute Dr Stelzer was resident scholar and director of regulatory policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute. He has been a managing director at Rothschild and is an alumnus of both New York University and Cornell.
