Location

The project is in Khutafali (Kolura) village, Ner tehsil, Yavatmal district, Maharashtra. The map below shows the location of Ner, but not the exact location of the project:

Background

Khutafali (Kolura) power station was a proposed 1320 megawatt (MW) coal plant in Maharashtra state, India. In 2012 the company reportde that it is in the process of acquiring land, seeking environmental clearance, and applying for coal linkage. It stated that water commitment has been obtained from the Water Resource Department of Maharashtra.[1] An executive summary prepared by Yogiraja Industrial Consultant was prepared in February 2011.[2] As of April 2014, the Ner tehsil location is no longer mentioned on the Jinbhuvish Power Generations website. It appears that this location has been abandoned. Instead, the company is focused on a different location in Yavatmal district where it continues to pursue the Bijora power station.
