The 100 MW power station was planned for Târgu Jiu by Romania's Termoelectrica.[1]
In March 2013 the Ministry of Economy decided to dissolve and liquidate Termoelectrica, given the “impossibility to achieve the object of activity, respectively electricity generation."[2]
