Background

Muthukur Mandal power station is a 1320 megawatt (MW) coal plant proposed by Nelcast Energy Corporation Ltd.[1] Environmental clearance (EC) was granted in 2010, and compliance conditions of the EC in 2013.[2] Construction began in 2014.[3]
