Hillary Clinton Election Campaign
The chief finance director for Hillary Clinton's 2004 election campaign for New York Senator, Rosen now "faces trial for causing false donation and expenditure reports to be filed with the Federal Election Commission in connection with a Clinton fund-raising gala at Hollywood in August 2000." [2]
"Vetting" Campaign Donors
"Dem attorney general candidate Lisa Madigan's enhanced internal operation to weed out controversial campaign donors puts much of the responsibility on Chicago-based fund-raiser David Rosen. Other clients of Rosen's firm, called the Competence Group, include gubernatorial candidate Rod Blagojevich, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) and California Gov. Gray Davis. Rosen runs the name of each $5,000-plus donor through databases to see if there is dirt on a contributor. But that only catches people who have a paper trail." Chicago Sun-Times, September 19, 2002.
