John H. Sununu

John Sununu[1] served as Chief of Staff to the President of the United States on January 21, 1989 and served the White House until 1993. As Chief of Staff, Sununu oversaw the daily operations of the White House and its staff and also served as a Counselor to the President. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the George Herbert Walker Bush Presidential Library Foundation.

"Sununu became the state of New Hampshire's 93rd Governor on January 6, 1983 and served consecutive terms prior to joining the White House. He assumed office with a background of nearly 20 years experience as a community leader. The governor gained both national and international recognition through his Chairmanship of Coalition of Governors & Chairmanship of the Republican Governors' Association. He was elected in 1987 to the Chairmanship of United States Governors Association.

"From 1960 to 1965, he served as Chief Engineer for Astro Dynamics, Inc. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and earned his Ph.D. there. He was the head of engineering faculty of Tuft University and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering. He served on the Advisory Board of the Technology and Policy Program at M.I.T. He is also a member of the National Academy of Engineering."

Sununu is a member of the Honorary Council of Advisors for the US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce.

The Governor is currently the President of JHS Associates, LTD., and chief partner in Trinity International Partners, a private financial firm. He is also the chairman and co-host of CNN's "Crossfire," a news and public affairs discussion program.
