Formed by the Toronto-based Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and the Denver-based Broe Group, Crestone Peak Resources acquired the Denver-Julesberg Basin oil and gas properties of Encana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc.[1] The transaction was announced in summer 2016, with an effective date of April 1, 2015.
