The Columboola coal project is a proposed underground coking coal mine.[1]

Location
The proposed Columboola mine would lie between the towns of Miles and Chinchilla, Queensland, Australia.[1] The undated image below shows the approximate location.
Coal Mine Background
In April 2010, Metro Coal entered into a Joint Venture Agreement with China Coal Import & Export Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Coal Group Corp.[2] Exploration was commenced in 2011.[2] An Mineral Developments License application has been granted.[1]
