Alvaro Rodriguez Arregui
Álvaro Rodríguez Arregui "is general director of Vitro, S.A., one of the world's leading glass producers. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
"From 2002-2003, Rodríguez was as chief executive officer of Farmacias Benavides (Far-Ben), the largest drugstore chain in Mexico. Prior to joining Far-Ben, he served as chief financial officer of Grupo Elektra from 1999-2002. In 1997, he wrote the business plan for Unefon, S.A. (Grupo Salinas) where he would later serve as chief financial officer from 1998-1999. As the CFO, he led Unefon’s efforts to raise over US $1 billion in start-up funds. Before his appointment with Unefon, Rodríguez worked for six years as a banker in Latin America, Europe, and the United States.
