On its website it describes itself as a "...leader in the development of calorimeters for the measurement of plutonium and tritium in bulk or waste form. ANTECH calorimeters can now be found throughout the world, being a reliable and accurate workhorse in the nuclear waste industry." [1]

The company was founded in 1987 by Dr. John Mason, a former lecturer at Imperial College, London [2]. It is a member of the Nuclear Industry Association [3].
