Alain Juppe is a French gaullist politician. In 1993 he became foreign minister under Édouard Balladur, he then succeeded him as Prime Minister in 1995. His party was defeated in 1997.
In 2002 he became chairman of the Union for the Presidential Majority (the sucessor of the RPR).
He is involved in a party funding scandal. [1]
He is a patron of the Atlantic Partnership.
