Ancon Australia constructed Port Anthony, a small regional port in Gippsland in eastern Victoria. The port has been touted as opening up opportunities for brown coal export projects. The managing director of Ancon Australia, John Anthony, proposes dredging a channel to allow ships larger than 65,000 tons to access the port. In 2009 The Age reported that Ancon "bought the site next to Esso/BHP Billiton's Barry Beach marine terminal in 2001."
