Background on power station

The existing power station is a 2 x 300 MW coal plant next to the Zhunge'er (Jungar) coalfield Suancigou coal mine.[1]

Expansion

Plant owner Beijing Energy Group has proposed a stage II of two additional 660 MW coal units at the power station. The planned operation date is 2017.[2]
