Boulder Institute

"Over the past 15 years the programs of the Boulder Institute have been defined by our engaging in teaching and service in a number of contexts around the world – indigenous rights and environmental ethics in Southeast Asia, peace-building and nonviolence in the Middle East, and trainings for spiritual activists and leaders in Europe. We have learned that the three global movements of our time – Environment, Peace, and Social Justice – all share a root ethic, and we translate among them as the situation requires." [1]

"The Institute is entirely funded by large and small donations from people who want to support our form of independent citizen diplomacy in the world. We have received occasional grants from foundations such as the Threshold Foundation, the Kalliopea Foundation, the Rudolph Steiner Foundation, and the Soros Foundation." [2]

The Insitutes codirectors are Elizabeth Rabia Roberts and Elias Amidon.
