Bruce Potter is President and CEO of Island Resources Foundation.

"Mr. Potter currently resides in Washington, DC, but he has lived and worked in tropical developing countries for much of his adult life. In addition to the Island Resources site, Mr. Potter has contributed to web sites for the Inter-American Strategy for Participation, and the search tools used on the Caribbean Project for Adaptation to Climate Change (CPACC).

"1989 to 1994, Mr. Potter worked for American Management Systems... For EPA's Office of Research and Development, Mr. Potter managed a series of projects to support overall management and communications strategies for the Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Program (EMAP), EPA's most extensive ecological assessment initiative. For EPA's Office of Water, Mr. Potter managed an engagement to assess and advise local managers of the Sarasota Bay National Estuaries Program on program structure and information system organization, including systems to monitor the impacts of tourism on the Bay.

"For the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Information Resources Management, Information Management and Services Division, Mr. Potter managed a major assessment and program strategy recommendations for the State-EPA Data Management (SEDM) Program. Under Mr. Potter's direction AMS staff performed logistic support, recording and analytical functions for this project in addition to formulating basic recommendations for the overall program assessment and a new program strategy based on that assessment."[1]
