Chester E. Finn, Jr.
Chester E. Finn, Jr. is a highly influential conservative who has been involved in K-12 education for 40 years. He has authored 19 books, holds high positions at conservative think tanks and other organizations, and has held influential government positions, including acting as an Assistant Secretary to the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education from 1985 to 1988, as well as Staff Assistant to the President of the United States. He also serves on the boards of directors of education-related organizations, and his work has appeared in a number of widely-read magazines such as the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Education Week, and Chronicle of Higher Education.[1]
