Cynthia Roberts Hale
Cynthia Roberts Hale "began working for the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences in 1993 and has been an assistant dean since 1997. Prior to joining the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, she was the administrative director for the University of Maryland's Department of Computer Sciences. During her 21 years of service at the university, she has been an active member of several professional organizations, including the UM System Staff Council, the Campus Senate Executive Committee, the Senate Affairs Committee, and the President's Special Advisory Task Force. Prior to coming to College Park, she was the staff director for a member of Congress in the U.S. House of Representatives.
"She is a graduate of Duke University and lives in Silver Spring with her three children, three aging dogs and a husband who owns and operates his own law practice. In addition to her university activities, Ms. Roberts Hale serves as the administrative director of Roberts Memorial Child Care Center, a church-owned facility that enrolls 20 children." [1]
