Background on Project

As of 2013, China Datang and EDF Group are building a two-unit coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 2,000 MW in Jiangxi Province. The plant is scheduled to be completed in 2015.[1][2][3]

Unit 1 was completed in August 2015,[4] and unit 2 in April 2016.[5]

Expansion

Plans for an additional two units, units 3-4 of 1,000 MW each, appear in the Jiangxi Province Development Plan of the Railway Economic Belt (2019-2025), released in October 2019.[6]
