Gopuvanipalam Mega Thermal Power Project is a proposed 1980 megawatt (MW) coal plant in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh.[1]

The project will use a blend of 70% Indian coal and 30% imported coal.[1]

The project was considered for issuing ToR on July 14, 2009, and the ToR was issued on August 13, 2009. However, the project is not mentioned on the Nagarjuna Construction Company website, and since over two years have passed since the issuance of the ToR, its current status is not confirmed.[1]
