Background on Plant

The two existing coal-fired units of Guangdong Huilai power station, totaling 1,200 MW, were brought online in 2007. The plant is owned by Guangdong Yudean Group.

Expansion

The power station's units 3 and 4 (1,000 MW each) were completed in 2013, expanding the power station from 1,200 MW to its current 3,200 MW.
