Coal projects under construction

  • the Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project, a 1500MW coal-fired power station currently under construction in Jhajjar. The first of the three 500MW units has been commissioned with the last one scheduled to be online in early 2012.The project, which is a joint venture between between NTPC (50%), Government of National Capital Territory (NCT) (25%), Delhi and the Government of Haryana (25%).[5]
