Background on Project

According to WRI's 2012 "Coal Risk Assessment" study, Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group is currently planning to build a waste coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 600 MW in Shaanxi Province.[1] However, no recent reports can be found on the project, and it appears to be shelved or abandoned.
