Huaneng Pingliang power station (华能平凉电厂) is a 2,520-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Gansu Province, China.

Background on Plant (Units 1-6)

The six existing coal-fired units of Huaneng Pingliang power station, totaling 2,520 MW, were brought online between 2000 and 2010. It appears to be the biggest power plant in Gansu Province. The plant is owned by China Huaneng.

Units 7-8 Expansion Plan

China Huaneng was planning for an additional 2 units with 1000MW each at this plant. It finished a preliminary feasibility study sometime before 2012. However, there is no further news since then. The plan is likely abandoned.
