"The basis for every successful research is a good method, and after a year of intensive work, Impunity Watch has finalized its research methodology and has begun preliminary data collection in Serbia and Guatemala. In this work IW has been supported by a number of experts in the development of methodologies and indicators, including the leading expert in the field, Prof. Todd Landman of the Department of Government at Essex University (UK), who conducted the final review of the methodology in December 2006. Our partner organizations in Guatemala and Serbia have undertaken to adjust the methodology to local circumstances in the course of February 2007 and we plan to start using it this March."
