Jay Schwartz "is the deputy director of finance at Human Rights Watch, the nonprofit organization in New York. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University and received an M.B.A. from the C. W. Post Campus of Long Island University. From 2000 to 2002, he was a volunteer in the Peace Corps, teaching business and computer skills in Langue, Honduras.
