Background on Project

Beijing Jingneng Thermal Power has proposed a coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 1,200 MW in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The project was included in China's Eleventh Year Plan (2006-2010) and considered by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2008.[1]

However, there have been no reports of further activity to develop those plans, and they appear to be shelved or abandoned.
