John Willson (Canada)

John Willson "is a retired mining executive. He was the President and CEO of Placer Dome Inc. from 1993 to 1999. He was President and CEO of Pegasus Gold Inc. from 1989 to 1992 and was with Cominco Limited prior to that. During his career, he worked in Ghana, Montana, Washington State, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories and Greenland.

"Mr. Willson was raised in Portugal and England. He holds Bachelor and Master degrees in Mining Engineering from the Royal School of Mines, University of London, England.

"John is a director of Finning International Inc. He is also a member of the board of the YMCA of Greater Vancouver.

"John currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia."
