Kate Todd
Kathryn Louise (Kate) Comerford Todd was named June 8, 2007, by President George W. Bush to be an Associate Counsel to the President and Special Counsel to the President[1] in the Office of Counsel.
Todd, who recently served as a Partner specializing in Constitutional law at Wiley Rein & Fielding, LLP, with White House Counsel Fred Fielding, and whose husband[2] Gordon Todd is "a current Supreme Court clerk" to Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr.[3], "was a highly regarded young litigation partner at Wiley Rein."[4]

From 2000 to 2001, Todd served as a Law Clerk to Associate Justice Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court of the United States. Earlier, she served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable J. Michael Luttig of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Todd received her bachelor's degree from Cornell University and her JD from Harvard Law School.[5][6]
Todd is also "an adjunct assistant professor of Constitutional law at Cornell-in-Washington, a residential multidisciplinary program that is part of Cornell University."[7]
