Background

The power station has been proposed by SPML.[1]

SPML, previously known as Subhash Projects and Marketing, is an Indian infrastructure development company with interests in water, power, infrastructure, manufacturing and technology projects.[2]

However, as of 2014 the project has not received environmental permits, and may have been cancelled.
