Larry B. Jones
Larry B. Jones (PhD, Linguistics, University of Texas, Arlington, 1980) "currently serves as Director for Field Programs for The Seed Company, an affiliate of Wycliffe Bible Translators. He served for nine years 1998-2007) as Vice President of Asia Operations for SIL International. He has also served at SIL as Director of the Indonesia Branch (1992-1998), and as Linguist-translator, Yawa language, Irian Jaya (1982-1991). His writings include “Linguistic Challenges to Rural Community Development” (with S. Budhisantoso), in Language in Development: Access, Empowerment, Opportunity, Conference Proceedings, Third International Conference on Language in Development, Langkawi, Malaysia, 29-31 July 1997, 44-50. He was a speaker at the Institute for Global Engagement's 2006 Global Leadership Forum, "Evangelism and the Persecuted Church.” He is a member of the Multi-Faith Board of Advisors of the Council on Faith & International Affairs, and contributed a feature article entitled "'Prophetic' NGO-Government Relationships: What Would Daniel Do?" to the Fall 2005 issue of The Review of Faith & International Affairs."
