The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) is an organisation "representing the State public service commissions who regulate the utilities that provide essential services such as energy, telecommunications, water, and transportation." NARUC states that its mission is to "serve the public interest by improving the quality and effectiveness of public utility regulation."
