She donates heavily to Republican candidates and issues. She gives no money to Democratic candidates.[1] Parker's husband is Miles Collier. Together in 2006 they announced they were giving a $25 million gift to Eckerd College (a private liberal arts college) and an additional $15 million donation from a family foundation if other donors would match the amount. Parker's husband, Miles, is the founder and managing partner of Collier Enterprises in Naples, which is involved in real estate investment and development, agricultural and private equity investments. Miles is the grandson of Barron Collier, founder of Collier County, Florida. [2]

Relation to front groups

Charity blossom, a website that links charities with donors, lists Parker J. Collier as the contact for the anti-health care reform group Revere America, initiated by former New York Governor George Pataki. Parker Collier is the group's primary donor. Revere America is set up in a way that keeps the group from having to reveal its funders. Revere America spent $2 million on attack ads targeting Democrats in the 2010 mid-term elections. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has cited Parker Collier as a woman from the south who is working to influence the outcomes of elections in the northeastern part of the U.S.[3][4][5]
