Patnow power station

Background

The Patnow Power Station was built in two phases. Patnow I consists of six 200 MW units, units 3-8, which were built in 1967. Units 1-2 were demolished in 2001. In 2008 a new 464 MW supercritical unit known as Patnow II was added. The power station burns lignite coal delivered from nearby mines.
