{{#badges: CoalSwarm|Navbar-Germanyandcoal}}Schkopau power station is a 960-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station in Germany. The lignite-fired power station consists of two 480 MW units, known as A and B, commissioned in 1995-1996.[1]
The plant was "designed to replace obsolete units at Schkopau, north of Leipzig, in one of eastern Germany's two lignite mining centres."[2]
