==Coal Mines==
In October 2010, Queensland Premier Anna Bligh officially opened the $1.3 billion [[Clermont coal mine]] in Central Queensland. Rio Tinto's new thermal coal mine near is expected to increase production to 12 million tonnes of coal a year by 2013.
