==Project placed on hold==
In June 2012, Tata Power announced that it was placing all new imported coal projects on hold, except for the 4,000 MW [[Tata Mundra Ultra Mega Power Project]]. The company included the 2,400 MW Coastal Maharashtra Project among the projects placed on hold. The reason for the action, according to the company, was rises in imported coal prices resulting from regulatory changes by the government of Indonesia.<ref name=hold>Sanjeev Choudhary, [http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/06/14/india-tatapower-idUSL3E8HE3QV20120614 "UPDATE 1-India's Tata to shelve new imported-coal projects,"] Reuters, June 14, 2012</ref>
