I added historical context to this section, since understanding the existence of Zionism and AIPAC cannot be accomplished without understanding historical pressures of the time--- notably the expulsion of Jews from many countries in the Middle East and the rise of post-Nasser pan-Arabism. I hope this added history has made the article more nuanced.
